Live on the top edge

The work stays in front of you.

Focus that never covers your work

Start a 25 minute session from the notch. The countdown stays on the top edge, so the thing you are actually doing keeps the screen.

Now playing, from any app

Skip, scrub and see artwork without leaving what you are in.

Secrets stay secret

API credentials are masked in the interface and stored in your Mac’s Keychain.

Permission by feature

Calendar, Accessibility, Automation, and microphone access appear only when a feature needs them.

Direct and current

Provider modules fetch their own live data, never decorative numbers pretending to be real.

Architecture

Your data stays on your Mac.

Private by architecture

Your clipboard is not content for our cloud.

NotchPop has no telemetry, advertising, or user-analytics backend. Notes, timers, screen-time samples, shelf references, and pinned clipboard items live locally. Network access happens only when the feature you choose needs it.

The useful questions

Before it moves into your notch.

Does NotchPop work without a physical notch?+

Yes. On an iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, external display, or older MacBook, NotchPop becomes a floating island with the same tools and interactions.

Which macOS version do I need?+

NotchPop requires macOS 14 Sonoma or newer.

Does it upload my clipboard or files?+

No. Clipboard history and file conversion are processed locally. Clipboard monitoring is off by default, transient or concealed items are ignored, and only items you pin are persisted.

Why does the app request permissions?+

Only features that need a macOS capability ask for it, for example Calendar for events, Accessibility for overlays and WhatsApp replies, or Automation for media controls. You can use the rest of the app without enabling unrelated permissions.

Can I choose which tools appear?+

Yes. Pin the tools you use and leave the rest out of your dock. NotchPop is designed to stay useful without becoming busy.

Is NotchPop a native Mac app?+

Yes. The app is built with Swift and SwiftUI, follows macOS system behavior, and uses native frameworks for audio, calendar, Keychain storage, and more.
